Sotheby’s Launches On-Chain NFT Secondary Marketplace
Sotheby’s auction house has launched a new secondary marketplace for NFTs through its Web3 arm, Sotheby’s Metaverse. The new platform will allow collectors to conduct direct transactions on-chain via Ethereum and Polygon networks, paying in either ETH or MATIC. Sotheby’s Metaverse will continue to honor artist royalties through smart contracts on its resale platform, which pays artists according to their selected on-chain royalty rate.
