Disney Backed Baobab Studios Launches 'Momoguro' NFTs

Disney-backed Baobab Studios, the Emmy award-winning studio behind popular short films has launched its own NFTs to go along it family-friendly project called "Momoguro". 

Here are the quick facts:

• Baobab Studios, the Emmy award-winning studio behind animated movies like "Invasion!" and "Baby Yaga," has launched its first NFT collection to go along its Web3 project 'Momoguro'.

• Momoguro is a colorful fantasy world where creatures called "Momos" can fuse together to form hybrid characters.

• They are releasing NFTs which you can mint for 0.22 ETH apiece (about $365).

• As for its game, well that will be on ImmutableX, a layer-2 Ethereum scaling solution.

• The NFTs will be a core game feature that could be used within the Momoguro universe.

Baobab Studios' move into the Web3 is a sign that even traditional animation studios are getting on board with the NFT/Web3 craze. It'll be interesting to see how they evolve from here. 

Yuga Labs Launches New NFT Collection On The BTC Blockchain

Yuga Labs is at it again, this time launching an NFT collection on the Bitcoin blockchain. This collection is its first ever to be featured on Bitcoin, and it a collection of 300 generative art pieces.

• This is a limited edition collection that features 300 generative pieces, each being highly-rendered 3D elements as well as being hand-drawn.

Playboy Joining in on the Metaverse with MetsMansion Announcement

Playboy, the famous men's magazine, has announced the launch of its virtual world, MetaMansion, where users can interact with each other, attend virtual events, and even explore the world itself. It looks like Playboy is ready to take on the metaverse with their iconic brand.

Good news for Mongral, bad news for UPDAO. The popular NFT project BAYC recently launched Dookey Dash and a competition to go along with it. The winner would receive a "Golden Key". The winner, Mongraal, a professional gamer, no surprise there. Now, there has been offers made, with the latest reaching $1.1 million. 

Soon after, another offer reaching $1.6 million was made, which was wisely accepted!

Here are the quick facts: 

• Mongraal was the winner of the Dookey Dash game, launched by BAYC.

• As a result, he was given the "Golden Key".

• The coveted key is estimated to be worth over a million dollars and so far the offers do not disappoint.

• UPDAO, offered 690 ETH or $1.1 million for the key, but mongraal turned it down saying if they doubled it then they can have it.

• Another offer by Adam Weitsman came through, this time for 1000 ETH or $1.6 million. Mongraal accepted this offer.

So what is this key everyone is talking about. Basically this was the grand prize to the top scorer of Dookey Dash. Considering it is a 1:1 digital asset, this key opens a valuable experience to the holder. Now is it worth that much, @AdamWeitsman sure thinks so!
