Nike Launching Web3 Platform by 2023

Nike is launching its only Web3 platform named ".Swoosh" by 2023. This will be a destination where the user can access NFT-based products such as digital apparel with the first drop due in January of 2023. 

Here are the quick facts:

  • Nike is launching a Web3 platform called .Swoosh.

  • This platform will offer Polygon-based NFT products.

  • In April, Nike released digital sneakers as Ethereum NFTs through RTFKT.

  • The platform has its own domain, welcome.swoosh.nike.

  • .Swoosh will allow Nike Members to learn, collect and create digital objects.

  • Currently in Beta, registration to join .SWOOSH begins this month.

Yuga Labs

Yuga Labs, the company behind the popular NFT collection Bored Ape Yacht Club, has made a bold move in the NFT space by aquiring a Web3 ecosystem WENEW along with its flagship NFT collection 10KTF. 

Here are the quick facts:

  • WENEW is a Web3 ecosystem that has several partnerships with brands like Louis Vuitton, Gucci among others.

  • WENEW was founded by Mike Winkelmann, aka Beeple, along with Guy Oseary and Michael Figge.

  • Yuga Labs also acquired 10KTF, an interoperable digital storefront where holders of top NFT projects like BAYC, Moonbirds, and others can mint one of a kind digital wearables.

  • Figgie will joing the Yuga Labs's team as their Chief Content Officer while Beeple will sing on as an advisor.

Yuga Labs has been steadily expanding its portfolio of NFT projects. This aquisition follows some other notable ones which includes CryptoPunks earlier in March.

FTX Founder SBF trolls on Twitter

Recently shamed FTX CEO sent out a handful of bizare tweets this past Monday. He tweeted out "What" followed by two tweets, each with a single letter "H" and "A". This comes after Sam Bankman (SBF) filed for bankruptcy. 

But why the soap opera?

For those wondering he spelled out "What Happened". This comes after the CEO tweeted various tweets about how he "Fucked up". 

Art Gobblers Floor Price Plummets after Splashy debut

After having a splashy debut last week, Art Gobblers have hit a bump in the road.

Here are the quick facts:

  • Art Gobblers is an NFT collection created by Rick & Morty co-creator Justin Roiland and crypto VC firm Paradigm. 

  • This is a 10,000 NFT collection that is trying to build a "decentralized art factory" owned and operated by the community. 

  • Holders of this NFT can create their own art that is minted and displayed in the Gobbler's "belly gallery". 

  • In order to do this they would need to spend $GOO token, which is generated by holding onto the NFT. 

Launched on Holloween, these NFTs were minted for free by whitelisted addresses and immediately soared to a floor price of 25 ETH ($24,000). This collection even cracked the top 10 NFT projects with the highest volume traded in October despite only being out for an hour.

After having generated more than $15 million in trade volume in the first 24 hours, the hype train has derailed. The current floor price has plummeted more than 80% from its all-time high (25 ETH). This comes at a time when the entire NFT space is experiencing volatility and downward price movements.

Bored Ape Yacht Club NFT Sold For A Mind-Boggling $550k

Bored Ape Yach Club NFT #5718 was sold on Monday by NemoOceanVault for $550k.

  • 👀 This NFT has a rarity score of 168.46

  • 💰 The current owner of this NFT owns multiple Bored Ape Yacht Club NFTs

  • 🕶️ Some of this NFTs unique features include its Hat, Suit, and Red Fur

 When you have an NFT selling for that much, it sure will catch some attention.
